About Us
In the past, present, and future, water has been a constant and essential component of human life. However, urbanization, which is driving people to large cities, has led to a growing imbalance in water supply between regions, and the aging of water supply infrastructure, creating an urgent need for breakthroughs in technology to use water efficiently.
Tap water accidents such as muddy water in Chuncheon (July 2021), the water quality accident in Munrae-dong, Seoul (June 2019), and red water crisis in Inchon (May 2019) have highlighted the problems with water infrastructure and the need for technological improvements.
At the same time, with the added uncertainty in the post-COVID-19 era and the climate crisis via global warming, it is necessary to transform the existing economy and society into a digital and carbon-neutral one.
Digital transformation of water infrastructure and green transformation for eco-friendly and low-carbon operation help to optimize water supply manage, resolve water supply imbalance, reduce water pumping cost, and minimize leakage.
Therefore, JBS Water Environment R&D has a vocation to contribute to the digital and eco-friendly transformation of water infrastructure. The company's mission is to apply research and industry practice to local water infrastructure system and to provide professional expert education.
